I’ve been reading Tullian Tchividjian’s new book, Surprised By Grace about the book of Jonah. Not only is it an excellent exposition of Jonah, but it also has a great little survey throughout the book about how artists have depicted the Jonah story in sculptures and paintings. There is even a section with pictures of the artwork he describes. I highly recommend this book. It is very accessible and faithful to show Christ in the book of Jonah.
